Always wanted to create your own jewelry but felt intimidated? This workshop was designed for you.
Our beginner-friendly silversmithing gemstone workshop walks you step-by-step through creating a custom .925 sterling silver gemstone piece even if you’ve never used tools before.

You’ll leave with something more than jewelry. You’ll leave with a piece you made yourself.
 
WHAT TO EXPECT
In this 2–3.5 hour guided workshop, one of our professional silversmiths will help you:

• Select your gemstone

• Design your setting

• Learn foundational silversmithing techniques

• Create a finished, wearable piece from scratch

This is a hands-on beginner workshop. You will actively participate throughout the process.
For safety and liability reasons, certain technical steps will be completed by our experienced silversmiths. Participation in each step may vary depending on skill level and age.
No prior experience required.
 
WHAT YOU CAN MAKE
All pieces are crafted in .925 sterling silver:

• Single stone ring

• Double stone ring

• Single stone pendant (chain not included — chains sold separately)

• Double stone pendant (chain not included — chains sold separately)

• Stud earrings

• Dangle earrings

• Single stone bracelet cuff

• Double stone bracelet cuff

• Single stone bolo tie

• Double stone bolo tie

This is a beginner workshop. Highly intricate or advanced designs may not be achievable within the allotted time.

PRICING
You pay at the end of your workshop in person.
Nothing is charged at booking.
How Pricing Works:
Base price + gemstone you choose + optional additions.
Most guests spend $85–$120 for a single stone ring.
You can create a complete ring with a small stone starting at $75.

• $90 — Double stone ring

• $90 — Double stone pendant (chain not included)

• $90 — Single stone bolo tie

• $105 — Double stone bolo tie

• $90 — Earrings (stud or dangle set)

• $100 — Single stone bracelet

• $115 — Double stone bracelet

A 10% automatic gratuity will be applied to groups of 6 or more participants to ensure our silversmiths are fairly compensated for additional hosting time and instruction.

We can accommodate up to 18 participants per workshop. Availability varies by day and instructor.
There is no age restriction. However, depending on age and skill level, participants may not be able to perform every aspect of the fabrication process.

BRINGING YOUR OWN STONE
You are welcome to bring flat-back cabochon stones.

• All stones will be assessed in-store prior to workshop start.

• Approval is based on size, shape, and condition.

• Final pricing for personal stones is determined in-store based on stone size and metal required.

• While we take great care, we are not liable for stones that may break or scratch during fabrication.

We do not allow sea glass, coins, glass of any kind, or ceramics.

BOOKING DETAILS
Workshops are by scheduled reservation only.

• Booking closes 6 hours prior to workshop start time. (Email us for possible last minute bookings)

• Please ensure you book the correct number of participants.

• If booking different metals (silver vs. gold), make sure each participant is reserved under the correct metal selection. You may still sit and participate together.

We also offer goldsmithing gemstone workshops for guests who prefer gold.

DURATION
Workshops last approximately 2–3.5 hours, depending on group size, designs selected, and decision time.
