Make Your Own Gold Gemstone Jewelry — No Experience Needed
Love the look of gold but don’t know where to start? Our beginner-friendly goldsmithing gemstone workshop guides you step-by-step through creating your own custom 14K gold filled gemstone piece — even if you’ve never worked with jewelry tools before.

You’ll leave with more than a piece of jewelry. You’ll leave wearing something you made yourself.

WHAT TO EXPECT
In this 2–4 hour guided workshop, one of our professional goldsmiths will help you:

• Select your gemstone

• Design your setting

• Learn foundational goldsmithing techniques

• Create a finished, wearable piece from scratch

This is a hands-on beginner workshop. You will actively participate throughout the process.
For safety and liability reasons, certain technical steps will be completed by our experienced goldsmiths. Participation in each step may vary depending on skill level and age.
No prior experience required.

WHAT YOU CAN MAKE
All pieces are crafted in 14K gold filled with .925 sterling silver backing to ensure high-quality, long-lasting wear.
You may create:

• Single stone ring

• Single stone pendant

Gemstones must be approximately dime-sized or smaller for this workshop. This is due to gold being overheated easily with larger pieces. 
 

BRINGING YOUR OWN STONE
You are welcome to bring flat-back cabochon stones.

• All stones will be assessed in-store prior to workshop start.

• Approval is based on size, shape, and condition. Gemstones must be approximately dime-sized or smaller for this workshop. This is due to gold being overheated easily with larger pieces. 

• Final pricing for personal stones is determined in-store based on stone size and metal required.

• While we take great care, we are not liable for stones that may break or scratch during fabrication.

We do not allow sea glass, coins, glass of any kind, or ceramics to be brought in and used. This is for liability and safety reasons.
This is a beginner workshop. Highly intricate or advanced designs may not be achievable within the allotted time.

PRICING
You pay at the end of your workshop in person.
Nothing is charged at booking.
How Pricing Works:
Base price + gemstone you choose + optional additions.
Most guests spend $105–$145 for a single stone ring.
You can create a complete ring with a small stone starting at $105.

A 20% automatic gratuity will be applied to groups of 6 or more participants to ensure our goldsmiths are fairly compensated for the additional time and instruction required for small-group gold workshops.

Gold workshops are intentionally smaller and more intimate.
We accommodate up to 6 participants per session.
There is no age restriction. However, depending on age and skill level, participants may not be able to perform every aspect of the fabrication process.

Workshops are by scheduled reservation only.
Booking closes 30 minutes prior to workshop start time.
Please ensure you book the correct number of participants.
If booking different metals (gold vs. silver), make sure each participant is reserved under the correct metal selection. You may still sit and participate together.
We also offer silversmithing gemstone workshops for those who prefer sterling silver.

DURATION
Workshops last approximately 2–4 hours, depending on group size, designs selected, and decision time.
